You can visit various museums with the Culture Pass issued by public libraries in New York City.
If you have a library card from the Brooklyn Public Library, Queens Public Library, or New York Public Library, you can enter museums and other sightseeing places that participate in the Culture Pass for free.
A wide variety of museums participate the Culture Pass program, including Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Museum of Modern Art, and New York Botanical Garden which are not included in the other methods.

Secret Trick 3: IDNYC Issued by New York City
If you are a New York City resident, you can also use IDNYC to apply for a free one-year pass for the museums participating in the program.
IDNYC is a public identification card issued by New York City and can be obtained by a New York City resident over the age of 10.
