Trees of the Week (12/6/2021-12/12/2021)

Miscellaneous

Preface

It’s getting colder this week as well, but I hope you are staying healthy!

I inoculated Pfizer’s booster shot on Monday, but the next day I felt chills, tiredness, and my whole body was aching and I felt quite miserable.

If there are strong side reactions, I would like to believe that the vaccine is working and take it positively.

As usual, I will provide the tree topics this week!

News

Tightening Regulations on COVID-19 in NY

On December 10, Governor Kathy Hochul of New York announced that masks will be required in principle in all public places indoors, given the increasing number of people infected with COVID-19 in the state.

This regulation will be applied from December 13th to January 15th for the time being, and after that, it seems that the policy will be reconsidered in consideration of the infection situation.

In addition, it seems that it does not apply to places where vaccination proof is a condition when entering indoors, so it seems that it is not necessary to play tennis while wearing a mask at the indoor tennis court that I often use.

Mandatory Vaccination in NYC

On December 6, Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City announced that employees of all private companies in the city would be required to be vaccinated from December 27.

Until now, vaccination was obligatory only for city officials, but the obligation will also apply to the private sector.

I think that some people cannot get vaccinated due to various reasons, so I feel that this regulation may cause some controversy.

Municipal Election Voting Rights Granted to Foreigners in NYC

On December 9, the New York City Council passed a bill giving foreigners who meet certain conditions the right to vote in municipal elections.

The ordinance is scheduled to be issued from January 2022 and will be applied to foreigners who meet all of the following three conditions.

  1. Legal permanent resident in the United States or permitted to work in the United States
  2. Those who have lived in New York City for 30 consecutive days or more
  3. Those who meet all qualifications for voter registration other than US citizenship, such as age

Pick-up

NFT

I was planning to write an article about NFT this week, but I couldn’t make it again due to the influence of booster shots.

Next week I will do my best to reach my goal over 3 weeks! Lol

Gadget/Lifehacks

TradingView

This week I recommend TradingView, a charting tool that I have indispensable for investing in US stocks an others.

Although there are usage restrictions, the chart function is basically free to use, and depending on the customization method, the free version will provide useful functions.

The great thing about this tool is that you are free to write code and reflect it on your charts.

I also created RSI related code and Pivot related code and reflected them in my chart.

When it comes to US stock charts, this is a tool that seems to be enough, so please take advantage of it!

TradingView — Track All Markets

Personal Finance

I was able to benefit from the overall recovery of the market this week.

There was no individual stocks I sold this week.

The following are the stocks in possession.

It seems that sales tend to be stronger in December due to taxes, etc., but if the market recovers a little more, I think that individual stocks will also have a positive effect, so I would like to proceed with trading steadily now.

TradingView, which I introduced this week, is a tool that I use on a daily basis, so please take advantage of it!

Shop/Restaurant

Casa Limone

The restaurant I would like to introduce this week is Casa Limone, which serves Italian cuisine!

I ordered Prosciutto San Daniele e Buffalo Burrata and Fusilone Gratinato.

I had decided to order the prosciutto dish in advance, but I ordered the pasta with the help of the waiter.

For me, who is not an Italian food expert, the problem with an Italian restaurant is that it is hard to understand what kind of food will be served without listening to the explanation.

Both dishes were delicious, but the prosciutto dish I ordered as an appetizer was more voluminous than I expected, and I was full by the time I got to the pasta.

The atmosphere and service inside the store was pretty good, so I’d love to come back soon.

Postscript

Christmas holidays are coming soon, but my work is getting busy at an accelerating pace.

Let’s spend our days taking care of our physical condition so as not to weaken our immunity!
